“If asked to describe my style I would have to settle on ‘abstract realism’, leaving enough unsaid to entice the viewer to complete my vision thus creating a link between the two of us,” says sculptor Frank de la Roche. When he is not teaching in the United States, Frank, a Québec native, creates his own works from local and imported stone, metal, concrete and rare wood at his studio in picturesque Waupoos. A recipient of numerous international awards, his work can be found in corporate and private collections around the globe.
Open 10 am to 5 pm, May to Oct. (closed Tue. and Wed.); open most weekends in the off-season, or by appointment. 3252 County Rd. 8, Picton Photo Gallery
